Explore all key areas of offshore surveys with respect to survey planning, general supervision, technical oversight and supervision, typical survey findings, data reliability / assurance and other applications.
Includes hydrographic, analogue, and high-resolution geophysical (HRG) surveys to investigate water depth, map the seafloor and the geology beneath it, and to identify archaeological resources and debris left by other ocean users.
Geotechnical Site Investigations (GTSIs) are preferred tool for ground-truthing offshore geophysical survey data and to collect data from the seabed up to 200 feet below the seafloor to assess the mechanical behaviour of soil and rock. Typical site investigations include measurements of soil properties, along with physical soil and rock samples.
